Anu Tilekar is a warm and engaging psychologist who emphasises tailoring therapy to your needs. Her strength lies in working ‘with’ you to help you achieve your goals. With her clinical training spanning across three countries, she takes into consideration individual differences in culture and traditions and their impact on the therapy journey. She has prior experience working in major public mental health teams in Melbourne, Victoria, across the age span (including paediatric, adult and older adult settings) and brings this wealth of knowledge to her current practice.
Anu draws on therapeutic models such as Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Narrative Therapy and Motivational Interviewing. Her practice is aligned with a trauma-informed and person-centred approach. She currently works with adults aged 18 and above and offers clinical supervision for clinicians working with adults. She is fluent in English, Hindi and Marathi.
